The Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre (SJDAWC) was launched in September 2000 at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada where it started life in 1994 as the Animal Welfare Unit. Our vision is "to be nationally and internationally recognized as a centre of excellence that advances animal welfare through research, service, and education.”
